McKenzie brings a strong background in animal science and veterinary medicine to Valor Horses for Heroes. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of New Hampshire and a Master of Science in Veterinary Medicine with a concentration in Shelter Medicine from the University of Florida. Her academic and professional journey has fueled her passion for connecting people and animals in ways that promote healing, resilience, and growth.

At Valor Horses for Heroes, McKenzie combines her knowledge of animal care with her dedication to serving others. She is especially passionate about creating supportive spaces where veterans can experience the therapeutic benefits of working with horses. McKenzie is also pursuing her Master of Social Work, further strengthening her ability to bridge human–animal relationships with mental health support.

Outside of her work, McKenzie enjoys spending time with her animals, being outdoors, and relaxing with family and friends.
