Rosemary Curry
ANP PMHNP
Grantsboro + Telehealth, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy and Mental Health Prescribing

Rosemary Curry has lived and worked in the New Bern area for more than 20 years. Originally from New York, she is a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner in Adult Health and Mental Health and has dedicated much of her career to serving veterans.

In 2017, Rosemary pursued advanced certification in Psychiatry and Mental Health through Frontier University in the Appalachian Mountains of Kentucky—an institution known for its historic tradition of nurses visiting clients on horseback. During her studies, she was introduced to therapeutic riding and Equine-Assisted Growth and Learning, sparking a lasting interest in using equine-assisted modalities with individuals navigating disabilities or mental health challenges.

Around the same time, a transformative trail-riding trip to Montana inspired Rosemary to deepen her understanding of horses and horsemanship. She has since completed her EAGALA training and certification and volunteers at a local therapeutic riding facility. She is also currently pursuing a degree in Equine Studies at Post University in Connecticut.

Outside her professional work, Rosemary enjoys kayaking, yoga, gardening, and volunteering. She is a proud mother of three grown children and a grandmother to four grandsons, whom she frequently visits in Texas and Florida.
